Total Cycle Assist covers all the bikes in your family no matter how many bikes you have, what they're all worth, and how new or old those bikes are.
To give you a real example, one of our members who has been with us now for 4 years is a keen cyclist as is her husband and all 4 of their children. They have 7 bikes in their family, worth around £7,200 in total - and we have covered all of them with one Total Cycle Assist cover plan that our member paid £24 for.

Brand new, same-value replacement bike - no matter what your bike's current value!(Expand...)
Let’s say you ride a beautiful lightweight carbon-fibre bike currently worth £3,000 and a motorist crashes into it tomorrow: you'd be gutted. And then you find out a few days later that it's damaged beyond repair: what on Earth do you do? If money's tight, as it is for most people, then replacing it is probably out of reach, so that's your pride and joy gone forever and your cycling pleasure will unavoidably diminish. Contrast that with the feeling you'll have when we give you brand new bike at the end of your claim worth the same as yours is worth and that you can choose for yourself! That's the TCA Effect!
Private healthcare with bypass of all NHS waiting lists(Expand...)
If you, your spouse/partner or any of your children are injured in an accident that is someone else's fault where that third party has been identified, we are able to provide expert physiotherapy and rehabilitation treatment.
Within a very short time after the accident we will refer you to a private physiotherapy clinic where treatment of the very highest standard can commence. Moreover, the clinic will always be local to where you live to ensure maximum convenience for you.
As with all our other benefits and services, this is provided to you as part of your insurance, so you will not have to pay anything for all the treatment you receive.
Specialist legal support(Expand...)

You will keep up to 100% of your compensation award.

▪ Your claim will be handled by our solicitors with proven road traffic accident expertise
Why do you and your family need Total Cycle Assist multi-bike cover?(Expand...)
Every year more than 133,000 cyclists, including children, are involved in an accident that isn’t their fault – and if it happens to anyone in your family it’ll add insult to injury when you find that your home insurance doesn’t cover you like you thought it would:
▪ Where do you get your bike repaired?
▪ What if you can’t afford the repair bill?
▪ What if your bike is a write-off and you need to buy a new one?
▪ What if you’re injured and off work but the NHS waiting list is months, causing you lost earnings?
▪ What if you want to make a claim against the third party – how do you find the best lawyer?
▪ Who can you call at any time who genuinely cares about helping you?
Total Cycle Assist changes everything for the better for you and your family.
How much could Total Cycle Assist actually save you in both money and time?(Expand...)
Your home insurer (assuming that you even have home insurance in the first place) will offer you legal cover for as much as £8 a month… doesn’t sound like much, but that’s £96 a year! With us, you no longer need to pay this.
The average home insurance excess is £200 and can be as much as £1,000: no matter what yours is, you won’t have to pay a penny of it with us after a cycling accident that isn’t entirely your fault!
The average bike repair cost is £220 and can be as much as £2,000, depending on what kind of bike you have. With us you won't have to pay a penny of that after a non-fault accident, so you’re saving again
The average bike costs £550 to replace: with us you won't have to pay a penny of that after a non-fault accident, so you’re saving yet again!
If you're injured in a cycling accident and need physiotherapy or other treatment to help you recover, the average NHS waiting time is 5 months before the treatment you need actually starts. With us, you bypass this waiting list and go straight into an excellent private clinic that's local to you – and because your treatment starts so much earlier, this speeds up your recovery and could save you £1,000's in earnings you might otherwise miss out on.
Does Total Cycle Assist (TCA) cover theft?(Expand...)
No. TCA is accident-specialised cover that's also designed to make sure you don't pay us for cover you're likely to already have elsewhere. For example, if you have home contents insurance, that insurance policy will most likely include provisions for the theft of bicycles, so if we included similar provisions in TCA membership and charged you for that cover, you'd effectively be paying twice for theft cover! And that goes against the grain of what we do because TCA is dedicated to saving you money, not charging you for something you already have.
TCA adds value to you: while your home insurance may provide you with some cycle theft cover, what it won't give you is any cycling accident cover anywhere near as comprehensive as you get from us. So by joining TCA you get the best of both worlds: a superb level of cycling accident cover that you don't currently have at a very cheap annual membership fee of only £24 without having to pay again for theft cover that you more than likely do already have.
Where the term 'cover' is used in this site, it is as an umbrella term denoting the benefits and services included in the particular membership package and not to denote a policy of insurance.
